Why do a Retreat ?

Whereas daily practice provides only a brief pause in everyday activity, a short retreat gives us the possibility to devote a given period of time to intensive meditation. Through this we can arrive at a deeper understanding of ourself.

Carried away by agitation and the urgency of situations that crop up in everyday life, we rarely have the space to be aware of the motives behind our actions before we act. A meditation retreat allows us to reduce this activity thereby giving us the possibility to have a better understanding of how our mind functions and allowing us to practice the teachings at a deeper level.
